23: Near Death, a changed body, and helping others: Krislynn's Story

Talking with Krisylnn is a gift. She is articulate, thoughtful, and warm throughout discussions of her own harrowing journey to the brink of death and back.

She shares about a car accident that happened in her early 20s, a time of much transition in its own right, and how that incident shifted and altered her life path in many ways, including how it has influenced her work and her ability to empathize with patients in similarly life-threatening scenarios.

Our conversation began through a mutual friend at a weekend getaway, and her grounded and self assured energy was palpable, the mark of someone who has lived multiple lifetimes in one, and she carries with her the kind of self knowledge and trust that can only be gained from hard-earned experiences.
